Jira Service Desk is  great software where the power of Jira is used to manage a Service Desk. However, as any software, Jira Service Desk have limitations and issues. In this post I wanna show how solve one of this limitation :): JSDSERVER-4258.

Let me introduce the ….. problem

In Jira Service Desk we cannot edit custom fields using Automation Rules.

New Verve, from Scotland, provide a solution thanks a specific free addon (At this moment I release this post, addon is free). Using it we can modify custom fields as shown in following figure :

Select the new action - 'Edit issue custom fields'
