In those days Barcelona was the center of the world. Atlassian Summit, the most important event of Atlassianers was hosted 🙂 . Here a small summary of the news :D. MrAddon and Artigiano was there and we will try explain the main topics 🙂
OpsGenie
First of all, as described in Atlassian Blog by Scott Farquhar, Atlassian acquire OpsGenie. It helps notify all the right people through a sophisticated combination of scheduling, escalation paths, and notifications that takes things like time zones and holidays into account. And OpsGenie does all this with rock-solid reliability.
This means Atlassian increase his presence in Incident Management… but this is the beginning 🙂
Jira Ops
Atlassian extends own products with this new one, dedicated to manage the incident management. As shown in following video
Jira Ops is an integrated environment which it’s possible manage incident. Available in Cloud environment (this is what I see in my work instance)
I decide: Test immediately in my cloud instance. I will report all results in another detailed post 🙂
Partnership with Slack
Announced a few days before Summit, this is a very important news, because all teams have to migrate all HipChat and Stride instance (on premise or cloud) and attach the new one. Keep in touch: in new posts we will describe how migrate cloud instance (I have one and I have to migrate).
More information in this link, where Joff Redfern , VP of Product Management explain in Atlassian Blog the partnership.
Trello
This is a very big news. This was the first summit with a Trello Day.
